Not a chance. I will not believe that Xander has gone evil, not after the way he saved everything in the end of season 6. He would not do that to willow. I don't think Xander was aware of all the details of the construction on Sunnydale High. Of course If I am wrong this willl floor me worse than Tara's death and Willlows going bad. At least I saw that one coming a little. As far as the rest of this episode goes I think the Big Bad was behind everything. Remember that the psych vamp said that he felt like he was connected to an all consuming evil. He could have been fed lines by The One Beneath. Interesting thing is if all of this is The One Beneath it hit everyone exactly where they are most vulnerable. It gave the wussy member of the evil trio the person he wanted to see most and led him to axe Johnathon. It attacked Willow through her grief over Tara and her fear of her own powers. It hit Buffy in her own insecurities and really messed with her mind, possibly even setting her up to go after Spike. And the darn thing was positively insidious with Dawn, it used her self confidence issues against her by outting her through hell before she managed to work a spell alone that allowed her to talk to "Joyce". At that point she would have believed anything that "Joyce" said since she had to work so hard for it.
