I have linked it, but I link again which Spell-less ranger I use. This one. http://www.adnd3egame.com/documents/ranger%20variant.pdf From this site: https://scruffygrognard.wordpress.com/2015/05/05/a-spell-less-ranger-for-5th-edition/ Now for som explaination of my character / story to give a sense of how he is and what he does :) My character uses stealth tactics, relies alot on the use of a sling, is sort cable of dealing with melee. - Prefer light armor, has a special hatred for trolls and greenskins. He has a story with killing trolls "happend through" rp, planned on using alchemist fire for traps too. He is not a thief in anyway, he has a kinship who is. A eldery brother, who is sorta like the black sheep. He used to be a Peasant, once saved the litte farm from a beast of somkind, or so he said. But not all belived him. But what really got him through was saving a town called Vubbertal from a troll, where he manage to get the plan together, a got a burning building to tip over by break the half burned main pillar, destorying the troll in the pogress, with the help of others from his party. He manage to repeat the succes with lureing a troll into a boar fallpit trap, filled with iron spikes and tar/oil, where archers who where along the party helped finish it off. In general if there was a troll, my character usally end up slaying it. Either with smart thinking or pure luck. Just to get som story with it. I want to focus mostly on a ranged character, who uses traps and he has quite the knowlegde of living in the wild as in traveling and such, due to living at a farm / outskirts to forests. He is quite the adept traps maker. He is a "Stout" slighty bulky halfling, he sorta a mixture of a fighter/ranger/rogue sorta type. So all could fit, he is not 100% lawfull if it means to protect or help friends. But he doesn't steal or lie or cheat much, he is more of a happy fellow go lucky type. His bad sides / problems, is he has Pyromania, due to seeing so much bad stuff throug his travels he snapped - We play with a "sanity" sorta system to it, so there is a chance of going mad with all the bad stuff you see and experience. It was randomly rolled but it fitted perfectly since most of his problems, has been solved by fire. What got him really mad was escapeing after seeing a bunch of friends being torn to pieces by zombies/undeads, he later got his revenge on the necromancer who did it. But all his problems are nearly always sorted out with fire. His magical stunted, and have a magical resistance to him, like many Halfling from Warhammer has. So that is why I chose that racial, the night vision is because due to lore they can see in the dark alot like dwarves and such. He carries a Mithril shirt and sword smithed by dwarves as a thanks for saveing their Karak "Clan home" from a chaos infestation where many dwarves went dark. I am consindering fighter Scout abit, but I feel the ekstra dice here and there leaves for a boring game experience. I am more a fan of rogues and rangers, cause I like to roleplay tactical, especially with this one. And I don't mind being a skill monkey too at that ;) - But so faar I am prefering the Spell-less ranger with a few mods. I may plan to either go 4 levels rogue/assassin - 4 levels Spell-less Ranger or 4 level Scout and 4 level Spell-less Ranger. He is sorta a Field Warden by Warhammer lore, a Halfing Ranger sorta type.
