Building an Exalted (BoED) campaign--tips

First Post
I don't know if I will have an opportunity ot run one in the near future, but some reading I've done lately has inspired me to think up an Exalted campaign, possibly to run live or PbP

I'm reading through the BoED for ideas but was hoping to get some tips from the community...

General Questions:
  • What d20 sources are useful: I have the BoED, Book of Hallowed Might I&II, and the Book of the Righteous (hmm, all books devoted to Exalted stuff seem to be have Book of... titles).
  • Some good inpirational fantasy reading?
  • What is a good setting for an Exalted campaign.
  • What are some good modules (3rd ed. or older editions) to run in an Exalted campaign?

Specific questions:

If you want to make furhter use of the Exalted feats (or similar feats in other books), is it a good idea to grant PCs free Exalted feats (say, once per five levels; assuming they maintain exalted status)? Does this cause balance problems?
I'd like to take

I think that sounds like a fun campaign.

Book of vile darkness would seem to be good for use with that setting. To make evil really evil... the spells/Prcs from there would seem to fit.

I think it could work in most settings, depends on what you want from it and who the bad guys are.

Of the top of my head, some sort of DnD-ified fantasy Arthurian setting could be fun... throw 'history' out of the window and make it really fantastical. Chivalrous knights, wicked sorcerors, twisted fey, grail questing and so on?

Give the PCs their own kingdom, a round table and a wise druid - watch them go. Trying to do the exalted thing while ruling a kingdom might prove insteresting. :)

The extra feats sound like a good idea. As long as all the players get them I don't see that would upset balance between party members... I'd consider granting free book of vile darkness feats, at the same levels, to the main villans as a counter to this.
