Bulldogs!, a New d20 Sci-Fi RPG

First Post
Galileo Games has just released Bulldogs!, a d20 sci-fi game. Bulldogs! is only available for sale through our web site at present.

Bulldogs! is a solid, general ruleset for action-oriented space opera. It follows the sci-fi genre in that it focuses on alien races and interstellar travel, but it is definitely space opera in that the science is there to act as magic does in a fantasy setting--it's the special thing that allows these characters to do amazing stuff.

Bulldogs! has some setting material: a cold-war style galaxy with two dueling empires and a wild and occasionally lawless Frontier Zone between. This setting was designed for maximum adventure playability. There is plenty of room for GMs to create and add detail, but the basics are taken care of for those GMs who don't care to do this.

The game itself includes 9 alien races along with a human-style one, and I created specifically sci-fi classes for the space setting, eight in all, including bounty hunters, engineers, gunners, space pilots, medics, and space pirates. The really cool thing is a race generation system to allow you to create your own game-balanced alien races, a must for any sci-fi game, IMO. Plus, it's really fun to play!

Let me know if you have any further questions, I would be happy to answer them, and I hope you check Bulldogs! out.

I've seen this book and it looks great! The layout is superb and the illustrations are also top-notch. Nice job, Brennan. :)

Thanks a lot, Ed! That means a lot to me coming from you. Next time we hit the same con, you'll have to try a game (although I know you don't play too often).

Will there be anyway to buy this book without the use of PayPal? I really don't like PayPal. The book however sounds quite interesting, especially the race creation rules. I'd buy a copy if a different payment option was offered.

I got my copy today. That means, it took only four days to come from USA to France! Much faster than Amazon.com, you deserve congratulations for that!!

I just opened the book 10 minutes ago, and it looks great. Just to note: the illustration p.144 is really funny!!! (without mentioning the fact that the color art for PC races is quite good).

I will give my opinion more thoroughly later, once I have delved into it. Nonetheless, I must say that I also bought Medieval Player Manual (Green Ronin) today, and that after flipping the pages of both books, I am much more excited by Bulldogs!.

This isn't the first PayPal compaint I've had. I am working on getting other credit card options set up on my site, but in the meantime, you could send a check by mail to order a copy. Obviously, this takes a little longer.

If you want to send a check or money order, mail it to the address on this page:

Thanks! I look forward to hearing more of your impressions. I am also very surprised the the book got there as quickly as it did. This was the first one I had shipped overseas, so this is excellent news to me as well.
