When we went in to investigate the ship we found that everyone onboard we could find was dead. That is untill we came to the last room in the ship where we found a skeleton and two ghouls, at which point the paladin come out with the usual lines about how all undead are evil and should be killed, blah blah blah (i must explain that our DM has a rule where no one player can force combat by just going , i attack them. It has to be a majority decision by the group). at that point i decided i wanted to talk to the skeleton, and called the paladin a racist. The reply from the group was that undead arnt a race, so hating them wasnt racism.We then found out that the skeleton was upset because her husband (a necromancer) was hiding from her onboard the ship somewhere. We eventually tracked him down and found out that he was hiding because, whilst he loved his wife, he didnt want to become an undead like her, he wanted to keep his body intact. He told us that he could fix her if we brought him bodies to practice the ritual on (dead or alive).So we left the session deciding what to do, help them by brining them bodies to practice on, just leaving, or killing the undead. Also it turned out that they where evil, they had killed the members of the crew, even the ones that didnt volunteer to be turned into undead. But my standpoint was, whats a shady past to a silt pirate from darksun whos captain of a spelljammer---Basically my question is, if i cant call the paladin a racist for hating all undead indiscriminately, because undead arnt a race, what is a better word?-EG</blockquote>
