Buying from Paleface Sound?

I clicked on a banner ad up above which led me to a really cool looking (and sounding!) CD from a company called Paleface Sound (located here: http://www.palefacesound.com/store/environ.html). I started to order it, via Paypal, however their Paypal status is "Unverified Vendor" or some such. Being an advertiser here at ENWorld I would tend to trust them, but I'm a bit nervous about their Paypal status.

Has anyone ordered from them before? How did it go?

Thanks,
ct

I think unverified probably just means they haven't gone through the red tape to verify debits into their checking account. I assume they have an email address. I would email them to make sure everything is on the up and up.

I know as a "buyer", I had to verify my Paypal account by entering a credit card number, then entering a code which appeared in the transaction on my statement. This was just to verify I am in fact a real person with a valid credit card. I don't know what a "seller" has to go through to be verified, but it just makes me nervous that they're not.

I did eventually find an email address buried in the website, but that would be kind of like asking a bad guy if he's a bad guy. "No, of course I'm not!" :) There is no phone number or address listed either. I was just looking for a reference here from someone that may have done business with them before.

BTW, there is something similar to the tracks from "Environmental" included in the installation directory for Neverwinter Nights. There are numerous ambient WAV files to choose from, as well as the soundtrack. Those are called "BRP" files, or some such thing, but can simply be renamed to end in ".mp3" and they'll work just fine.

Sorry for the bump, but I'm really hoping to catch somone that has done business with Paleface before. I *want* this CD, but I don't want to throw away 18 bucks if I can avoid it.

I've never actually bought anything from them, but my dealings with them regarding the advertising itself seemed fine and professional. For myself, if I was in the market for such a CD, I wouldn't have any reservations about doing so.

I'll drop 'em a mail, though, and point them towards this thread.

Paypal and Paleface

Hey all, Menuit (and Paleface) here.

My experience with Paypal has been good. It basically is just a way for someone to accept a credit card when they are not a big store themselves. I am not "verified" because i haven't let Paypal have access to my bank account (that seems creepy to me)

Just like any credit card transaction, if someone orders from me, and something goes wrong, they could always stop payment on the card. though usually sending me an email will fix whatever the problem might be.

thanks for all your support and kind words!
