Buying houses in cities

A few of my party members are now shopping for houses, (and a site for a new temple). Does anyone know of any (preferably free) resource listing a variety of city houses and prices?

With plans would be good because i really am that lazy.

There's $1 PDFs from Top Fashion Games that show the floorplans of various fantasy buildings. I don't have any of those, but the other products I've gotten from them I've found to be quite good.

Actually, thats for a 1-3 room home of wood with a thatched roof.

It depends on how "realistic" you want to be.

I really cannot recommend strongly enough, even though they are far from free, buying Expeditious Retreats "A Magical Mediieval Society: Western Europe" and "Silk Road".

They will give you excellent economic info, based off of the DMG (even the 3.5 DMG, now) and built upon from an impressive list of references used for as much "realism" as possible.

It can even get you realistic numbers, using worksheets, for Manors, villages, towns, and cities.

So whenever your game starts getting into settling and building lands, these books are great.

I was hoping to find something a little more detailed in the 1000 - 5000 category
