No. Direct damage, arcane evocations are underpowerd, it would do the eventual 4th edition good to make direct damage arcane evocations 1d8/lvl, but that is an other story. the spell is a good CA spell, in that it mekes mages less dependant of success on SR checks, is this a good thing? that depends if CA the only splat book you alow its verry verry bad, if you use all the splatbooks its a good thing.</blockquote>
