Hi, about six monthes ago i came up with a idea to run a campaign where you have two parties a good and a bad. So i brought the concept to my DM and he really liked so we started thinking and we decided that he would DM the good and i would play in that group and i would DM the bad and he would play in that. We plan to take advantage of the two character partys opposed alignments to act as the worlds balance,so while the world will still have evil and good the majority will be little more then neutral. We have a frame work set up were going to use the same world the party is playing in now just a diffrent part (Long time ago the god wared on the material plain and split it all a part). So we have a slight history, a near full pantheon and from him and me coming up with ideas we have an idea of the geography ( we deside the world would be made up of floating sky islands and some of the bigger ones are just a bunch of smaller ones lashed together). We plan to give the world a gothic steampunk feel. But now we are in uncharted territory, we decided that since the players wont be noobies any more since the current campaign is the first for most including me (3 years running and still very excited with it) that we wanted to try our hand at a more high powered game so were gonna go with point buy over the dice rolling we do now to make it more balanced but we're not certain what to place the buy at we breifly considered 40 but now were chosing between 36 and 38. Also we have decided to start at level 2 so multiclassing can be acheived easier (in his campaign you have to go find someone to teach you and spend time to learn it which made my fighter have to jump through a lot of hoops to become a wizard/archivist) but were also allowing so LA +1 races but im not sure how much that will impact the game. Our base races are as follows: Humans - As is Elves - Minus trance and age progression altered Dwarves - As is Whisper Gnomes - As is Half-elves - As is Half-orcs - +2 Con, +2 Intimidate checks. Start with 1d4 Depravity and 1d4 Corruption Raptoran - As is Warforged Scout - No -2 Wisdom, +2 Con, Land speed 30 ft, Low light vision, Natural healing +1 Races: Warforged - No -2 Wisdom, Powerful Build, Low light vision, Natural healing Duergar - As is Tiefling - As is Aasimir - As is Not sure yet races: Cat Folk - As is Synad - As is; Perhaps a Hive Mind esq thing Other Psionic races Finnally we decide we would want the game to be very open with the books so we are including psionics and perhaps the tome of battle neither of which he is currently using so again not sure of the pitfalls to this? As for right now the Base Classes allowed are as follows: Barbarian Bard Cleric Druid Fighter Monk Paladin Ranger Rogue Sorcerer Wizard Beguiler Duskblade- if a player wants to play one; Other wise they wont exist Knight Warlock Warmage Hexblade- Using a homebrew fix of my own creation Spelltheif Scout Shadow Caster Favored soul Spirit shamon Swashbuckler Archivist Dread Necromancer Psion Soulknife Wilder Psychic warrior Ardent Divine Mind Lurk Factorum Chaos Monk Im sorry for boring you all with this but thanks for reading and any advice or ideas you can give us would be welcome. Also we want to experiment with the system a bit so any fun usefull house rules you can suggest i would more the glad to hear them thanks again! :) Falleniblis
