K, so lets see how PC's can handle a situation where they are the heros, but may not want to be.
Many Gamers i know usually play genocidal/racist heros. Usually this ire is toward monsterous races like orcs and drow. So its all fine and dandy.....but what if the line was blurred.
A powerfull archmage is working on an epic spell which will whipe all orcs off the face of the earth (or name of planet pc's are on, etc etc). The Pc's should discover this mid campaign not early on. Up untill the point they do all they should know is that some Crazy Evil wizard is creating a spell that will change the world as they know it and will destroy one of the races. Keeping races very very vauge, after the Pc's go to hell and back to hinder this wizard and see some truly bad things/become heroes in the eyes of many they discover the truth.
How do you think your groups would react? how would you react? Would you continue in your original goal to stop him? Or would you let him continue? And yes, in this world the majorty of orcs are quite evil.
Discuss. :-D
