[Campaign Suite] Arms & Armor

Twin Rose

First Post
Free with Campaign Suite as a full data expansion is coming the entirety of the great Bastion Press publication, "Arms & Armor".

This expansion will include EVERYTHING needed from this publication - all stats, all text, I mean everything. April Kildaire (known to many as Baastet), the data entry person who has completed it, has done an absolutely fantastic job.

I can't even begin to estimate a value for this data expansion, but it includes literally hundreds of weapons and armor types, magical enchantments, and more - and by exporting and printing youc an have everything you need to integrate it right into your own game.

This expansion will be included in future updates, starting this week. And, best of all, it's free!

Please, feel free to thank our friends at Bastion Press.

As a personal note, it's been an honour and a privelage to work with Jim Butler on this project, and April has been diligent and hard working and deserves all of our thanks.

Enjoy your game!

Sounds pretty cool.

It really is. Even I, the programmer of CS, was amazed to see how well this all came together. There is just so much crunch in that book, and I was so pleased to see the way it blended so smoothly, creating a great interface for people to look up the weapons and see what they really did.

Thanks again, guys! :)

just wondering how you got around having bits of armor combined together to form a greater AC when/if they are only combined with other armor....that's one stumping block that's got me pegged..just curious how ya did it!

I'll check, I didn't write the data myself. It may, in fact, show some forms of errors in here. On the other hand, since we were able to include the full 'descriptive' text, people will have that informtaion at their fingertips and should be able to adjust accordingly.

I think they used an 'affect' actually that allows certain modifiers to stack only when combined with those of the same type, that's probably how they did it.

This is an Official expansion, and Jim and others have looked over it who know the Arms & Armor supplement better than I, so I'll look into it but I'm sure it's alright. This is why it's in final QA, though, so if these things aren't stacking properly we'll catch it :)

More Expansions

Librum Equitis, Volume 2 and Portable Hole Full of Beer (This product contains no alcohol) should also be available very soon.

As a side note, Leopold we have a "Sympathetic bonus" coded into our "affects" that lets people set criteria needed for a bonus to take effect.
