Can a Ghost Possess a Construct?

Actually, according to the Monster Manual, golems are created by binding an earth elemental spirit to the body the spellcaster constructs, so a golem would have a spirit. Not totally sure about a shield guardian, but I'd say OK to possessing a golem.

I never noticed that before. But what about this?

Magic Immunity (Ex): Golems completely resist most magical and supernatural effects, except where otherwise noted below.

There aren't any listed magical weaknesses referring to magic jar. Seems pretty straight up to me. Any opinions, objections?

Personally I'd say anything that can be killed by slay living or other death effects could be possessed. Other things would be immune.
I can't see possessing constructs personally, unless they are made specifically for that purpose (as was suggested above).

Thanks for all the replies, guys!

I recently picked up Encyclopaedia Arcane: Constructs -- It Is Alive. VERY nifty book, and if I decide to have this Ghost come back to haunt my players (pun intended), assembling all sorts of unique Automatons to harass the characters, I'll definitely be using the book.

(in case anyone's curious, the Wizardly Ghost is Memnor, from the Legends & Lairs Instant Adventure Raven Mine, published by Fanasy Flight Games)
