Random question popped into my head, I wanted to see what you guys think. Anyway...

Do you believe that Dungeons and Dragons 5e is worthy enough to be an evergreen product? Biggest evergreen product from Hasbro is monopoly. Can 5e reach monopoly status?

I honestly don't think that D&D the tabletop RPG can hit that mark. It may be theoretically possible for another product under the D&D brand to do so, but even the simplest TTRPGs usually involve a notably greater degree of commitment and effort than a game like Monopoly.

One question that interests me, however, is the degree to which Hasbro/WotC's investment in other facets of the D&D brand might help grow the market for the TTRPG. Not a lot, I'm betting, but I'd love to be wrong.

Don't think so, it's just about the complexity of the genre really.
Monopoly is the classic example of super simple, entry level game you can play with grandparents and children: it has just a wider target.

It depends on what you mean by "evergreen".

If you mean, "Continues to sell over the years with only very small changes," then perhaps it can, but perhaps not.

if you mean, "Sells in the same form as one of their top products over many years, like Monopoly," then probably not.
