I've been taking over more of the writing duties for Scrollworks lately. I'm pleased with the results so far for a number of reasons. For one, I need the practice. I thin I got so busy being Mr. Editor, that I stopped writing altogether. I'm also saving myself a lot of time and effort by limiting contributions. Each freelance assignments generate a flurry of e-mail and added work, things I just don't have the time for. Finally, and most important of all, I am able to tighten the focus of the issues. One of the criticisms of the zine is that the issues lack focus. It's kind of funny to accuse a ZINE of lacking focus, but what are ya gonna do?I appreciate the offer of material, but I've even limited the number of art contributors down to three fellows.
