Can someone secretly record their bad gaming group?

If you go on youtube you can watch a few videos of people playing D&D with their group.

With all the horror stories I hear about bad DMs, bad players, or just bad D&D groups, I'd love to watch a video of one of these sessions.

So would anyone like to volunteer to record (even secretly) your "bad" group so we can actually watch it in action? :p

Surely you can accidentally set your cell phone to record while your playing :p

Ok, so I don't expect anyone to actually do this, but man it would be hilarious to watch something like this.

Now, it sounds funny, but it is actually a really bad idea. Disregarding the betrayal issues of airing dirty laundry on the internet of people whom thought you were a friend, there are some major legal issues with secretly recording people depending on state and country.

I have a great group, but I'm sure if I recorded the sessions they'd look awful.

I mean, we know why the in-jokes are funny, but no one else would.

For example :-

"Its Terry Pratchet, Dave."

"They are unarmed."
"You mean, apart from their greatswords?"

"No, a kilt doesn't count as clothing."

"Teenage mutant ninja tortle."

"That puts me on negative hit points. Another bloody typical Ranger Wickett 'level appropriate' encounter."

Okay, if we are going to get all logical and leagal on this.. Don't do it in secret. Let them know that you are recording, and let them know that you will post it on the net. Record a couple, let them get used to it, and theeeen post it on the web after they've grown used to being recorded and start to act natural again.

We all look awful playing D&D. Every video I watch ends up looking pretty lame and then I think, "We must look just as lame."

But I want to see some true arguing from rules lawyers going on. Or some disruptive player syndrome happening. Or some bossy DM railroading the players. I wish I had some video from sessions of my past groups. There's been some heated arguments and I'd like to see just how stupid I looked arguing with the rules lawyers that disrupted our games.

Think of it as a "Do's & Don'ts" video tutorial :p Never again will I argue with disruptive players like I have in the past...and a video of a bad group will only remind me what it takes to be a good player/DM

[Political comment removed!] ;p sorry little back stab their, but you set it up so nicely...anyway I'm off topic *slap*

I think i would commit suicide if i found a tape of myself playing d&d on the internet. d&d is one of my greatest shames but one of my most favored loves.
