This post is a discussion about two forces which are in conflict both believing themselves to have the moral high ground in a D&D campaign. I thought this thread could both be an opportunity for discussing this topic and allow brain-storming.

Sorry for the real world references previously, was not aware of this particular Enworld rule.

The only example in my unedited post which did not include real world references was dishonorable tactics and I suppose torture would be included in it too. (torture is debatable.) Another possible example would be a conflict between lust, pride etc. and forces in society which would be against it and forces in society which would be for it and consider it moral.

:erm:

I'm confused about the point of this thread/post? Are you just making a statement or do you want a discussion?

Is it to discuss conflicting forces in an RPG game, where both consider themselves good?

Or is it to discuss real-world forces in conflict with eachother, when both consider themself to be good? (If so, then a friendly heads-up, discussion of real-world politics and religion is against the forum rules on this site.)

If it's not a question, how can the answer be "yes"?

If it violates EN World's policies, how can it be posted?

I noticed you edited your post once for a minor correction. I recommend you edit it again - this time by deleting it in its entirety.

Kittens & Puppies view themselves as being right 100% of the time, but often find themselves in conflict...and besides, we know better.

It is not a discussion of real-world forces in conflict with one another. This was a post to show that such conflicts are possible in the real world and therefore possible in a D&D campaign. I was simply providing real-world examples. I listed a number of ideas which people may think to incorporate into their fantasy games. If people would like to discuss the conflict of two forces in conflict with one another in a D&D game, they should feel free to do so.

When they stop fighting, the Apocalypse begins. According to prophecy, this occurs right after Palladium starts printing third party D&D products...

Let me clarify the yes. When I said yes, I was posting my view, but the thread I was posting was not a question although it certainly could be taken as starting a discussion. Of course a discussion about two forces in conflict with one another both believing themselves to be good in a D&D game.

To use a slightly less loaded comparison, decades ago, there was an article in Dragon magazine talking about how one could find Paladins fighting each other in the D&D equivalent of The Crusades.
