What would you get out of a - thread that you can't get in a normal one?

I believe + threads mean "the premise of this topic is not up for debate," not necessarily "stay positive."

What would a - thread even mean?

Yeah, that's my question too. + threads are "let's talk about 4e, but only things you like about it." That has value, because fans can talk without people coming in to pee in their cheerios. Would a - thread be "let's talk about 4e, but only comments about how much you hate it are allowed."

I'm...dubious on how well or constructive that thread would progress.

Since I'm pretty sure I know what topic this is in response to, it would be "let's talk about this thing, but you're only allowed to post articles/videos about how it's bad."
 


Sure. But the starter of any [-] thread has to pay the moderators $10 per post report to keep the peace.

At least I’ll be able to retire early.
well there's a thread in which the op has made it clear that views that don't align with his opening post that being the negative aspect of something is not welcomed.
