Can/Will/Should this happen?

I would be interested in "physical" buying books that included access to a PDF of the same book.

I don't know maybe I am old fashioned but I love reading books, PDFs get sloppy and ruined quickly. Buuut I really like being able to cut and paste monsters and/or rules that I'll need for a game.

I would love to have my Monster Handbook and other books that I use frequently in an electronic format so I cut and paste at will. I guess the SRD has made me lazy.

Necromancer Games does this (kinda) for its modules, posting the maps and stuff online. Access to these is password protected. I think I have printed out the maps for TOMBS OF ABYSTHOR 5 times. Very handy when playing.

Am I the only who wants this? Is this available and I am to stupid to even realize it?

Try www.rpgmall.com - while the selection is limited, I think that it's along the lines of what you're looking for... a randomly selected link from our own E.N. Publishing... http://www.rpgmall.com/product_info.php?products_id=32547& ... tells me that you get a printed book AND a link to a PDF copy immediately. You get the best of both worlds. I myself hope to have this sort of dual release available for my next product.

Yes, I want.

My format preferences, in order:
1. Both Print and Electronic.
2. Print
3. Electronic

So for me, most PDF products are "last resort" type products. But if I can have both, then suddenly I love having the PDF.

In addition -- if it's monsters or spells, I want it in a format that I can manipulate mathematically. Spells go in an Excel spreadsheet ala Steve Mulhern's, monsters go into eTools. I put in the effort so I can actually use these things -- otherwise I almost never go through the bother of using them.
