Can you write fiction? Do you have experience of doing so, and samples which you can show? Even a well-written Story Hour might be enough. As part of the War of the Burning Sky line, we're looking to release a novel in e-book format. This is work for hire (no royalties) and paid at $0.02 per word. Potentially, this contract is for three novels, but initially, we'll be contracting for one at roughly 50,000 words (making a $1000 payment). This payment is non-negotiable. The overall plotline of the novel is pre-determined, and will follow the WotBS Campaign Saga. Strict deadlines will be contractually mandatory. Payment is upon acceptance of your manuscript, after any requested amendements. You will need to work closely with the WotBS team. All rights will revert to ENP after the flat $1000 payment, including reprint and all publication rights, including PDF, print and web-based publishing. If interested, please email me. You will need to show the following: 1) An initial chapter of something you've written. We need to see your ability to set the scene and introduce characters. 2) A separate chapter of your choice, which you feel shows your writing strengths. You must include these two samples (which need not be from the same body of work) in RTF format. Each sample should be a separate RTF. Email the samples to russmorrissey at gmail dot com. Please take care with your initial email and submission. Your email is your first "audition", so spelling, punctuation and/or grammar mistakes will guarantee that your mansucript is not even looked at. We are especially interested in strong characterization. Since the plot is pretermined, we'll be looking at what you can offer in terms of characterization and dialgogue.
