Alright, so I have this awesome campaign planned for my group, but I'm having a little trouble with a couple details. I'm really kinda new at this actually, I've only ever played for another DM once, and after that I've just been a DM, because it's so much fun. So the campaign that I have is a planar travel campaign. I created this map of all the planes, and it serves as a portal between the planes. All you have to do is touch one and will yourself there. I have all the information about the planes, so that when they visit one, the danger of that plane is very real. Right now the map is in the hands of a Temple, which has turned corrupt. (The players don't know this yet). The temple has an army, and they were recruiting people to fight a "great battle", but wouldnt tell anybody which one. All of my players accepted the invitation, and they ended up getting pushed into a back room, where they got sent to Limbo and had to fight voidworms. However, there were priests and knights in the room, and I didn't want them to go, so they stayed. However, one of my players decided to disguise himself as a priest to gain access to the church, and he went to Limbo too. I'm wondering if there is some kind of spell that I could have put on the priests or on a device that the priests had on them, so that they didn't go through the portal with everybody else. My player that disguised himself did go, and then was arrested when he got back, because he obviously wasnt really a priest, because all the priests were unable to go through the portal. I'm just not sure exactly why. I'd like to be able to use it later in the campaign so an actual spell would be nice. Can somebody help? Thanks!
