I did expect the death, and I did expect it by accidental Cylon action. But I did not expect it so soon. Of course it is still possible the boy may survive. We are unaware of Colonial medical capabilities, or if the boy is brain dead, and so forth. Then again I would not put it past Graystone to experiment upon the boy's remains, or to attempt to fashion, if he has not already, a Zoe-type avatar of the boy. Perhaps even to use him as a controller-mechanism for his next prototype since he has apparently lost control of Zoe. Then again I don't put it entirely past Graystone that this entire scenario was manipulated by him in some way. (At least that he suspected this would happen and may have been planning to use the event to "trigger Zoe into self-revealing, since he could not do so by direct attempts at either communication or trickery.) The boy's reaction seemed extremely odd to me, given his past behavior, when Zoe disclosed to him her secret. Almost as if he had been pre-warned or at least advised of the possibility. The more I see of Graystone, the more I am convinced my initial gut-assessment of the man was accurate. The man could have easily made an ally of his daughter had he treated her with friendship, respect, love, and patience. He has deliberately chosen every method but those. He should have been protecting, shielding, and helping her from the very beginning. He could have also made an ally of the boy (assuming he was not already for another party, and was a plant, which is another possibility) by treating him with trust. But guys like that don't trust. And so they are not worthy of being trusted. (And because of that and other things I'd be shocked if Graystone doesn't have a mole already planted deep in his organization. So far his company looks amazingly easy to penetrate.) I've seen my share of these kinds of men before. I wouldn't trust them with a half-loaded peace pipe, much less with the truth.
