[QUOTE="ssampier, post: 3169986, member: 10205"] I am looking to upgrade my car audio. I have never big on audio, usually I buy what's on sale (I have a 3-way shelf Philips that sounds great to me). I have a new job so I'd like to upgrade my stock head unit. I am looking for a head unit that play both Mp3 and WMAs CDs. I would like a head-unit that will accept an iPod dock cable in case I purchase one of these ubiquitous electronics it will work. Another nice feature would be front AUX for any other Mp3 player I may want to use. USB and Bluetooth would be nice, but not required. I did stop at the local store and they were offering an Alpine that plays mp3/WMAs (I missed the model number). The salesperson indicated this model was only one tier below the top model. The controls were nice and easy to use (the Pioneer model, in contrast, had small buttons). I don't know anything about Alpine, so I left empty-handed. So, what do I need to know about car audio? What brands have you had success with? I have a 2004 Chevy Cavalier with a stock CD player ("double-din" style as Crutchfield.com points out). Crutchfield asked whether I have RDS, I am unsure.
