You can create a new serie using famous characters of public domain, for example Sherlock Holmes, but also others can produce their own titles.  Better to create a fictional world. This also has the advantage not only can be used as a softer way to talk about serious matters but because readers/watchers can't read a History book to know what will happened. We can watch a movie set in WWII and we know who will know, but then people didn't end the date of the victory. A child born after Bush age can't understand how we felt when Kuwait war started or the attack against the World Trade Center.</blockquote>
