What is the carrying capacity of a normal backpack and a belt pouch?

Question came up during play in my Sat group, couldn't find anything stating such.

Depending on you DM it could be nearly infinite.

The rule is burried deep within the WotC site...

It's covered in part 4 of the retired Rules of the Game: Going Metric article (by Skip Williams) from back in 2004.

A backpack can carry one cubic foot or 60 Lbs. of gear.

I always did:

Backpack: 50 lbs
Sack: 25 lbs
Pouch: 1 lb

But their way is OK.
I guess.
