Caster Level and Paladin/Ranger

OK, when a feat states as a prerequisite "Caster Level 5", its easy to see that a Wizard 5 could use the feat. How about a Paladin or a Ranger? When do they classify as Caster Level 5?

What Darkness said, so they'll qualify at Paladin10 or Ranger10. You'll find the info about their respective caster levels in the last paragraph of "Spells" under each class' description in the PHB.

And Practiced Spellcaster gives a +4 boost on top of that. At least, I think that's what the boards agreed on. It'd be (class level/2)+4, not (class level +4)/2

Up to a maximum of CL = HD, yeah. So it reaches maximum its effectiveness at level 7.

Well, yes, thank you. And it means that a Ranger or Paladin qualifies for the Caster Level 5 prereq at level 5, which is nice.
