The module arrived in my mailbox today! :D I have just had a quick look, but so far my overall impression is quite positive. The cover is quite nice. I think that the 'unified look' for C&C that TLG is using is quite attractive -- and it helps to distinguish the C&C stuff from other product lines. The cover picture is also quite good, though it may give away too much to the players (i.e. it includes a picture of the BBE). Minor complaint: the regional map is seriously lacking. This is not a big deal, as I intend to use the module in my homebrew setting anyway. Nonetheless, the map looks rather sketchy and unprofessional. The village map is also mediocre, and I will probably have to redraw it for my game. Complaints aside, the module looks packed with good stuff! The town looks well detailed, and could serve as the base for lots of low level adventures. There are 4+ different adventure areas around the town, all of which look interesting (though some seem a little tough for 1st level characters, e.g. one encounter involves a troll). Only two encounter areas involve maps. The others, I guess, are too small to require them (one of the smaller ones involves a witch's lair, another a troll bridge, etc.). Anyway, I will write more (possibly a review) once I get the chance. Right now, I have to dash out to meet some friends for pints! 8)
