You could do south on Mithoeffer, hang a right onto Rawles, and then pick up Post road (northbound). Cops don't frequent Post road and there isn't much out there other than industrial complexes. Arlington sucks; too many houses and stop signs. In real life, the best route is actually left onto Washington (but you have to find a stoplight out of a parking lot, otherwise I believe that stretch of Washington is divided by a median), then take Emerson up to Michigan. I used to come into town to law school via Brookville Road >> Emerson >> Michigan. Tenth Street is hella rough. Lots of cops and very rundown. Heading west on East Michigan, it's this really bitching neighborhood of large older homes in the Arsenal Tech area, but unfortunately in the 1960s and 1970s, the Arsenal Tech area experienced a major downswing. It's getting better these days, but it's still pretty rough. I sometimes stayed at the law library or my law review office after hours. When I did, if it was after dark, there would ALWAYS be a pair of cop cars parked at Rural and New York. There's a liquor store there that must get robbed three times a week. When we moved in 2012, my route shifted to I-74 >> Southeastern. Southeastern is marginally better than Rural and NY, but not great. I had a great time people watching on my drive into town.
