SURPRISE ROUND, RESOLVED Initiative: Otter 23 Cyril 18 J.R. 17 T-dawg 15 Feral 8 Hummer H3 1

Death Otter rolled her eyes. She popped open her door, got out of the SHO, and walked out into the road, in front of the tracks and the line of stopped vehicles in the middle lane, where she stood still. The woman talking on her cell phone inside one of the stopped cars flipped closed her phone and glared at Otter. "Freak," she mouthed at Otter. Otter bent down. She selected a sizeable rock from the railbed, hefted it in one hand. The eyes of the woman inside the car got big like tea saucers. Cyril was about to pratfall in the street and fake a seizure when Feral and J.R. decided to go all The Warriors on the Hummer. With little else to do, the former lawyer moved to the driver's door of the SHO and got in, prepared to attempt a speedy get-away if things went down the way he expected. J.R., who had shortly before exited the SHO, ran alongside the Hummer. He attempted to open one of the doors, but it was locked. Stymied, J.R. turned to move back to the SHO. He got to within ten feet of the Taurus on his return trip. Inside the Hummer, the man on the driver’s side middle-row bench seat gawked out the closed window at J.R., and shook his head in confusion. J.R. saw him tapping frantically on the driver’s shoulder and talking, but couldn’t make out what the man was saying. T-dawg got out of the front passenger seat, and moved to the rear of the SHO, pretending to be opening the boot to retrieve tools, a spare tire, etc. He kept an eye on the Hummer, however, ready to step out in front of it if it looked like it was trying to pass the stopped vehicle. Feral trotted up to the hummer, waving his hands to get them to stop. When the Hummer's front tires angled toward the left lane, and it became evident the Hummer's next move would be to quit the middle lane in favor of gaining the left lane and crossing the rail tracks, Feral reacted. He sprinted forward, leapt on top of the hood of the sedan in front of the Hummer, darted across the car's roof, then jumped through clean air. He sailed from the roof of the sedan, lighting on top of the Hummer's roof with an audible bang! Muffled exclamations extruded from inside the Hummer, and the vehicle rocked precariously as its inhabitants began to scramble. Feral slid down the length of the roof, securing himself by hooking his legs around the rear tire on the back hatch of the SUV.
