Everyone loaded into the SHO, in the same seat they'd previously occupied. J.R. backed up, then angled the sedan down the alley. One of the tires rode the cusp of the pavement, and J.R. prayed there wouldn't been any sharp bits of metal or stray nails to puncture the tire on his baby. As it was, the banged up front fender of the SHO made an unsavory grinding noise audible inside the cabin. By the time the car ground its way down the alley to eastbound New York Street, emergency vehicle sirens could be heard in the distance. Although Freddie had turned over the Hummer's engine just as the SHO crept past to enter the alley, the Hummer apparently hadn't followed the SHO down the alley because it was nowhere to be seen. J.R. hooked a left turn onto eastbound New York Street. There was a cop car parked with its lightbar on outside Mike's Fine Liquors on the corner of New York and Rural. As the SHO cruised past, the cop car never left its parking spot, however. J.R. followed New York all the way down to Emerson, then turned right. When he got to Washington Street, he waited for a green arrow then turned left. The ride back to the church took twelve minutes; it was only 1:30 pm, and traffic hadn't peaked. [ooc]Recap: You guys left all your tech except for Cyril's Bluetooth headset back at the BestBuy. The store clerk told you you had until this evening around 8:30 pm to return to purchase those items, or they would be re-shelved. No one paid for the Bluetooth Cyril walked out of the store wearing. Two of you possess business cards given to you by Freddie and Mr. Pinky. [/ooc]
