Round 2 The hoary spider opened its maw wide. Spec could see clear venom dripping from its two foremost fangs. The beast unfurled its hulk, turned to the Halfling, and bit with all its might, hoping for a tasty snack. It missed. Roscoe found himself alone in the room, confronted by the behemoth. Its body blocked most of the light shed by Roscoe's short sword, darkening the corridor and hallway. Fulgrim, who had been watching the group's flank, spotted a pair of eyes glowing yellow at the end of the hallway to the west. An orc stood at the far end of the hall. He'd been listening carefully; this one had crept up unawares. Colden and Guran heard stone grating on stone from somewhere down the end of the eastern side of the hallway. Colden looked but couldn't make out the source of the noise. Guran's eyes were better. Part of the ceiling in L29 shifting open. [sblock=ooc]Both Fulgrim and Colden had readied actions from Round 1. Both may take their readied actions now. Their actions for Round 2 will go on their turn this round (for Forged Fury, that happens to be right after the readied actions are resolved). Forged Fury didn't expressly state that Fulgrim attacked, but I think that's a plausible interpretation given circumstances. Fulgrim may therefore take his readied action from Round 1, plus his turn for Round 2. With respect to Colden, Colden expressly stated he would protect the flank, so he also may take his readied action (I assume attack) from Round 1, plus his turn for Round 2. There's a problem, however. Colden has heard but not spotted the ceiling panel, requiring more investigation on his part. I don't imagine Colden can see very well. The light source is inside Room 17, tucked into the corner of the room with an intervening wall, corridor, and corner. The spider's body is sizeable and blocking the doorway, impeding the normally good strong light shed by Spec's light cantrip. Condition: dim light. Forged Fury and Skarsgard, you both should declare what readied action you're taking, if any. Forged Fury, go ahead and also give me Fulgrim's action for Round 2.[/sblock] Initiative: Giant Spider 23 Fulgrim 13 Roscoe 10 Colden 10 Orc 9 Guran 8 Spec 6 Other things 5 [gm]Giant Spider 17/26[/gm]
