Message: <blockquote data-quote="biorph" data-source="post: 1290464" data-attributes="member: 10426">From my interpretation, the title of the ability, dancing, really says it all.  The chains dance and act indepentently of the devil but still at his command, so the BAB for the dancing chain is +10 and 2d4+2/19-20.  Like a weapon with the Dancing enhancement.I guess this would also mean that if the devil was buffed, the chains would also share the buff.  The ability isn't that strong unless you are in the creature's lair, where it would likely have chains all around it, in which case your party takes it chances going into a demon lair to start with.  Or unless your party has alot of people who use spiked chains, in which case they opened themselves up to this kind of creature by their weapon choice.</blockquote>
