Message: <blockquote data-quote="Shard O'Glase" data-source="post: 953084" data-attributes="member: 1134">I can't beleive I missed that thread I've done this on every chain spell thread I can think of.The discussion comes down to terms.  If you look at spells they use the term target, which is sepparate from ray.  So if a feat uses that term then no a ray can't be used.The problem is there never is a flashing sign in feat descriptions hey were actually using the term now and not just what the words mean in the english language.In the book chain spell came out in's case I beleive that they aren't using the terms.  The feat split ray uses the same terminology, and so if they are using the terms split ray doens't work on rays.  Were talking eagle claw usefullness here.  Now its entirely possible that they used the terms correctly on one feat and incorrectly on another, since they've never faq'd it or errataed it there is no answer.  So go ask your DM.I tend to say that yes it works on rays, they weren't using the terms as shown by split ray.</blockquote>
