And that is your perogative. I thought I was the one being excited? Inserts into conversations? You mean like try and have a conversation, on a forum about having conversations? It sounds like you are afraid I will try and rip you off or something. Is my presence here truely disturbing you that much? Yep that's the gaming world alright. Now if I can take anything you said at all in a constructive manner, I will try to do it here....So long time game testing...Check. Bunch of game testers.....Check so that's 2 I mean in my system we handle this with nice, rational conversation. The GM is given authority to run the game and the players, with that understanding in mind, go along and play thier characters. That said, I like the idea of Inspired characters. If you try and play naruto with my game you will face trouble. Naruto has one thing my game doesn't. A script! I might also point out that my players like getting attached to thier characters. So games are run that way. Many of the hurtles I have been accused of having I have not actually experienced in real game time, largely because I have decent players capable of coming together in the name of fun. I am not really interested in gurps tbh. I've seen it done and I wasn't interested. Generic is what I think you would get if you had a bunch of people taking ideas from each other and rewriting them into thier own campaigns or rules systems. I have to admit, the idea of it being done soo freely and openly is an Idea I have trouble getting used to. I think of it, instead of acting like I am the accused in a medieval trial, it would be better to think of me as a new guy, who is excited, has his own establish system( notably in my own circles), and will more than likely make a few mistakes, but is here to learn. A lot of people seem to only say something when it has a negative, or hostile tone. The reason I don't come swooping in with all my ideas and websites, is simple. If you think what I am doing now, attempting to drum up conversation, is marketing, then what the heck would you call me bringing in all my work, giving out samples and dropping my website? Like others on this website, you complain that I am doing too much of one action, while also claiming I am not doing enough. I didn't come here to sell anything to you, which is why I do not react when someone tries bully me by saying, "Oh I wouldn't buy your book" I am here to get to know the culture here, the people and community. Why would I risk releasing , or giving away my work, if all people here will do is trash everything? This is market research, and community research. I have to ask myself, is a bunch of people who stubbornly hold on to decades of expectations my target market? I mean I am also here to learn, and hopefully make a place, but just like you will learn what people like about your game, you may not always be a good fit in every community. That's what I am here to find out.
