And the first installment with be someone who takes Rogue to a higher level of combat prowress. Extra damage is not dealt to creature immune to critical hits. Blink (Su): Grryip can use blink as the spell (caster level 8th), and can evoke or end the effect as a free action. Dimension Door (Su): Grryip can teleport, as dimension door (caster level 8th), once per round as a free action. The ability affects only Grryip, who never appears within a solid object and can act immediately after teleporting. Grryip lost his pack as a pup, and was raised by a halfling rogue who found him and reared him to maturity. As he grew older, the halfing began to teach him the skills associated with being a rogue. And while Grryip couldn't pick locks or disable devices, his movement abilities were extraordinary, especially when combined with his natural abilities. Grryip has since left his former companion and roams his home forest as a semi-defender, but in truth he's trying to find his former pack, if it still exists. He helps all who are in need if they are good, but avoids attacking those who are causing obvious harm, feeling discression the better part of valor... unless, of course, it's a displcer beast, which he loathes as does any other blink dog. Appearance Grryip is slightly smaller than the average blink dog, wich an appearance similar to a husky: dark greay coat with a white underbelly. His experience in silent moving adds an odd gate to his walk as he unconsciously moves without sound. Tactics If pressed into combat, Grryip becomes a formidable opponent. His ability to dimension door at will, without the usual stunned effect at the end of movement, allows him to strike an opponent from unanticipated directions. The first attack after a dimension door denies his target any dex bonus, generating a sneak attack. Against multiple opponents, Grryip will start to blink, the 50% miss chance increasing his likelihood of survival, and of course an active blink also causing sneak attack damage. However, Grryip is quite aware of his own mortality, and will dimension door out of combat if reduced to 10 hp or less.
