Umm...I don't know about Shard mind, but Changeling most definitely IS a player race. It's listed as one with the other Eberron races in 3E (and got extra rules in the Races of Eberron book, to boot), not until later did it appear in a monster manual. Even aside from that...they're half-dopplegangers, basically. Just as much a PC race as half-orcs in that regard.

I like the fluff of the Shardmind, but I've gotta go with the Rule of Horrible Portmanteau on this one. Changelings are awesome.

The Changeling is in the Eberron Player's Guide and the Shardmind is in PHB3 so yeah they are PC races.

But it looks like a blowout for the doppelings. Not sure how they will do in the following rounds.
