There are two categories specifically for Chaosium games in the Crit Awards. We congratulate all the talented nominees in each of these Chaosium categories and encourage you to check them out if you are not familiar with their work.

Best Game Master | Chaosium​

This award is to be given to a game master that has run any Chaosium TTRPG actual play series or one-shot that is judged to be the best based on their creativity, inclusivity, narrative and mechanical skill, and overall performance. For this category, any titles by Chaosium, such as Call of Cthulhu, 7th Sea, RuneQuest, etc. qualify.

Best Player | Chaosium​

This award is to be given to a player that has played in any Chaosium TTRPG actual play series or one-shot that is judged to be the best based on their creativity, role play, and overall performance. For this category, any titles by Chaosium, such as Call of Cthulhu, 7th Sea, RuneQuest, etc. qualify.

Noteworthy: the Wayback Machine shows this policy was not present on June 14. So at some point in the past 10 days this changed, and it's possible GenCon and others approved of the awards prior to this change to their rules.
And it's weirdly narrowly tailored whereas they're rather generic in what they look for when it comes to their other criteria. Under Diversity and Inclusion, they're looking for "Diversity of backgrounds, cultures, races, genders, and abilities. As well as accessibility."

 


Are they planning on participating in an awards ceremony that's explicitly anti-Semitic the way this is,

Do not conflate Judaism with Zionism. The former is a religion and an ethnicity, the latter is a nationalist political movement. So it is entirely possible to be anti-Zionist without being anti-Semitic; they are not synonymous.
