[Chaosium] Cool Things to Do at Chaosium Con Australia next weekend, including The Great Pendragon Joust

Here are some other cool things to get involved in next weekend!</p><p></p><p><img src="https://www.chaosium.com/product_images/uploaded_images/the-joust-600x381-copy.png" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " data-size="" style="" /></p><p></p><h4><strong>The Great Pendragon Joust</strong></h4><p>Mark has always wanted to run Pendragon for 64 or 128 people at the same time, and here’s his chance.</p><p></p><p><strong>The Great Pendragon Joust</strong> will take place during the game breaks each day between midday and 1pm, and between 4pm to 5pm. Everyone is welcome to choose one of the 8 Player-knights from the Pendragon Starter Set and take part in a quick joust against the other 7, until one is the victor. Each joust will take about 5 minutes and requires no rules knowledge, just a steady lance arm and a lucky dice roll. The champions from each group will then face off in the final joust each afternoon for actual prizes!</p><p></p><p>Look for the big castle in the main gaming area. Our mounted knight models have been painted by Nathan Ash from Good Games Ballarat.</p><p></p><h4><strong>Bring and Buy Stall</strong></h4><p>This year instead of an auction, we are having a Bring & Buy Stall. It’s the place to find and rehome pre-loved Chaosium books and games. All badge holders are invited to bring items to sell.</p><p></p><p>If you want to sell items, download our <a href="https://basicroleplaying.org/files/file/937-chaosium-con-australia-bring-and-buy-stall-forms/" target="_blank">Bring & Buy Chaosium Con Australia PDF</a> from BRP Central. The Terms and Conditions has all the details about what you can sell, the commission on item price, when you can drop off and when you must pick up items, and much more. You’ll need to print and prepare a Bring & Buy Slip for each item you plan to sell.</p><p></p><p>Seeing Chaosium gold from days of yore change hands is always a thrill at every Chaosium Con, especially in this, our 50th year. We can’t way to see what you bring in, and wish everyone good hunting!</p><p></p><h4><strong>Chaosium Community Content Writers Dinner</strong></h4><p>On Saturday night (June 28) after gaming we’d like to invite everyone who is currently writing Chaosium Community Content or thinking about it to come and join us on one of the long tables at Legends Bistro, situated at Moonee Valley Racing Club, our convention venue. There’s a wide dinner menu with reasonable prices. It’s a chance to meet your fellow writers in person, and share advice and talk about your upcoming projects. Chaosium Community Content Ambassadors <strong>Nick Brooke</strong> and <strong>Mark Morrison</strong> will be on hand to offer any specific advice you may need.</p><p></p><p>Writer gatherings are often the place where new book ideas are born. Maybe yours will spring into your brain at this year’s dinner?</p><p></p><p>And, if you’d rather just talk about the day’s gaming, there are plenty of tables available. Last year’s end of day dinners were one of the many things that make Chaosium Con Australia such a convivial event. We can’t wait to see you there!</p><p></p><h4><strong>The Call of Cthulhu 20th Anniversary Screening - Sun Theatre, June 26</strong></h4><p>Once again a reminder that Chaosium Con Australia international guests of honour <strong>Sean Branney</strong> and <strong>Andrew Leman</strong> will be presenting their acclaimed movie <em>The Call of Cthulhu</em> at the Sun Threatre, Yarraville at 9pm on Thursday June 26.</p><p></p><p>Get your Sun Theatre tickets <a href="https://suntheatre.com.au/wp-cinema/movie/S25CALLOFCTHULU/THE+CALL+OF+CTHULHU/" target="_blank">here</a> – note, this screening is open to the general public, so ask your non-gamer friends along.
