[Chaosium] 'Creativity in the Law': Companions of Arthur release features in legal creative showcase

<blockquote data-quote="Michael O'Brien" data-source="post: 9658049" data-attributes="member: 6807727"><p><img src="https://www.chaosium.com/product_images/uploaded_images/screenshot-2025-05-12-at-4.57.42-am.png" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " data-size="" style="" /></p><p></p><p>Chaosium's <a href="https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/publisher/2/chaosium/category/50585/companions-of-arthur" target="_blank">The Companions of Arthur</a> community content program for Pendragon recently featured prominently in a unique showcase for legal professionals to share their creative endeavours.</p><p></p><p>The Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow hosts an annual "Creativity in the Law" event, which showcases the creative talents of legal professionals as well as raising funds for a charitable cause (this year, it was Shelter Scotland, a homelessness charity). The creative efforts covered a number of media, from photography to opera singing and book binding to video games.</p><p></p><p>Among the artistic advocates and poetic prosecutors was Iain Nisbet (shown above), a solicitor who specialises in education law, but is also the author of The Companions of Arthur title <a href="http://drivethrurpg.com/product/498251/The-Adventure-of-the-Loathsome-Wyrm-and-the-Machrel-of-the-Sea" target="_blank">The Adventure of the Loathsome Wyrm and the Machrel of the Sea</a>. There was a strong TTRPG representation at the event, which also featured a maker of polyhedral dice, and a video games designer (whose past works include an indie RPG).</p><p></p><p>Iain ran a shortened version of the adventure for Pendragon 6e with some of the attendees (shown below), who all threw themselves into their roles as knights grappling with the problem of the "loathsome wyrm" and had a great time doing so - including those who were new to roleplaying games altogether!</p><p></p><p><img src="https://www.chaosium.com/product_images/uploaded_images/screenshot-2025-05-12-at-4.58.43-am.png" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " data-size="" style="" /></p><p></p><p>Librarian at the Royal Faculty, Sam Vallance, was one of those who played the adventure, and said: “Iain’s session breathed life and laughter into our recent Creativity in the Law event.
