What's our Chaosium Board Games Team currently working on?
Our Board Games team is currently focused on two projects: Horror on the Orient Express: The Board Game and Miskatonic Tales: Journey to Innsmouth. Both games are set to be released this year. Horror on the Orient Express: The Board Game was successfully funded on Kickstarter between March and April 2024, followed by a Late Pledge phase on Gamefound from May to November. The response to the game far exceeded our expectations, raising over 3 million dollars from 14,637 backers worldwide!
This cooperative adventure, set aboard a train trapped in the Dreamlands (and in quite a bit of trouble!), is now approaching its final stops before it reaches the tables of eager Investigators waiting to play. We plan to begin shipping the game in November so that everyone receives it in time for the winter holiday season.

Attention backers of Horror on the Orient Express: The Board Game! The pledge manager on Gamefound will close on August 15th. Miskatonic Tales: Journey to Innsmouth

This story-driven game invites you into three thrilling scenarios set in and around the infamous city of Innsmouth—well known to all fans of the Cthulhu Mythos. Your main objective is to uncover the narrative using a map and a Playbook filled with paragraph entries that guide you through locations and possible actions. The choices you make—your movements, successes, and failures—will shape how the investigation unfolds.
There are eight characters in this game (Investigators!) whom you can either play as or use as NPC allies to help tackle the challenges ahead. A single playthrough won’t be enough to uncover everything a scenario has to offer! You’ll be able to replay each one multiple times, exploring different paths and perspectives to piece together the full story.
This gem is set to hit shelves this year! We’re sharing more and more details about this game every week across our social media channels.
