What can I expect from Impromptu Con?Chaosium games will be running the entire weekend from volunteer GMs. Chaosium staff may stop by and host panels and/or workshops. There will be giveaways. We may host a couple live Actual Plays. You gotta be there to find out! Will you use a convention management software like TabletopEvents?No. That sounds like planning. We try to minimize that here at Impromptu Con.Will there be a schedule of events?Not really. Panels, workshops, and actual plays will be scheduled and announced ahead of time. Chaosium staff will stop by throughout the weekend. They may hop into a video chat, they may lurk and stalk in content channels, they may host surprise text AMAs. You never know with Impromptu Con.Available games will be posted in the <a href="https://discord.com/channels/522384824997249025/1339049150674763796" target="_blank">Looking for Group</a> category in our Discord. You are welcome to sign up for events at your leisure. What timezone will this convention be held in?Chaosium is a small global company. We work around the clock. Our mod crew is global. They monitor around the clock. Our fanbase is global. You play around the clock. As such, there is no designated time zone for Impromptu Con.Swing by! You’ll never know when a game submission fits your timezone, or when a staff member from Ann Arbor, London, Melbourne, or somewhere else in the world may stop by and hang out!What are the server rules?We’re so glad that you asked! By joining the server and participating in Impromptu Con, you are responsible for adhering to these rules and expectations. How do I get the Impromptu Role? Why should I get it?Visit <a href="https://discord.com/channels/522384824997249025/1179203283764662312" target="_blank">roles</a> and assign yourself the Impromptu Con role. We’ll ping this tag specifically for items related to your Impromptu Con experience (giveaways, events, FYIs, etc.). That way you can downsize the other aspects of the server that may not be related to your convention experience. How and when may I submit games?You can submit games now. Schedule your games at your convenience. Our only requirements are:<ol> <li data-xf-list-type="ol">The content must be Chaosium IP.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ol">You must list the content in the <a href="https://discord.com/channels/522384824997249025/1339049150674763796" target="_blank">Looking for Group</a> category in our Discord, and use the “Impromptu Con” tag.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ol">The game must be free to play. </li> </ol>“Can I run homebrew/unpublished/modified/etc?” Yes!  As long as you’re running a Chaosium system.
