A fitting date to announce the long awaited return of a classic Chaosium game: Credo, the game of duelling dogmas.First published by Chaosium in 1993, Chris Gidlow's game is a lively board game simulation of the council, in which the players represent different factions of the early Christian faith, seeking to ensure their beliefs are accepted into the Creed, the universally agreed statement of faith of the whole church (but beware, rival bishops may engage in raw politics, wheeling and dealing, and horse-trading!)The new edition has gloriously evocative new art by Bulgarian artist Kalin Kadiev and beautiful new layout by Australian graphic designer Peter Gifford (Universal Head).  ... Freed from centuries of persecution by the victory of Constantine the Great at the Milvian Bridge, the community of the faith now faces its most important dilemma: just what is it exactly that we all believe? The Emperor wants certainty, and has called a Council to definitively decide such questions as: what is the nature of the Supreme God; who exactly was Jesus; and where is the rightful place of the church in the world? Your Bishops represent Churches from across the Empire, with wildly differing beliefs. Beliefs accepted by the Council will become the articles of orthodox doctrine; those rejected will be condemned as heresy!
