Character Files/Folders

exile

First Post
Today I decided that for each of the characters that I have for various campaigns, I would like to go beyond having a simple character sheet. I want to have an entire character folder. I figure I will have one folder per character and the each folder will include:

1. Character Sheet
2. Sketches of the character or items of import
3. Magazine clippings (again of the character or important equipment)- probably better for modern characters
4. A completed character questionaire
5. Character bibliography (detailing all the source material used to create said character)

Does anyone else keep extensive character files/folders. What do you include?

I keep a 3 ring binder or folder...I keep background, campaign notes, character sheet, and other important informnation in it. I have zero artistic ability so no sketches. Instead of the Bibliography I usually just copy the informantion or retype it for easy access.

I, too, keep a binder filled with necessary info on my character and the campaign. I've got character sheets, character history, spell lists, stats for my animal companion and mount, as well as print outs of my skills/feats and their uses.

In addition, my DM has been known to hand out lots of information: "scrolls," maps, timelines, family trees, bits of gossip, even newspapers. I keep all of these in page protectors for easy access.

Because it's become my job, I have also set aside a separate section to keep track of party loot.

As party chronicler, I keep copious notes, and they're in there too.

It's quite a collection of stuff but I find most of it is essential. The only thing I haven't got yet is a picture of my character.

Mine are all in the same binder at present time. As the stable of characters explands I have been considering moving to the multi-binder method for them. Then I could keep the character sheet, history, pictures and any other relevant information in one easy to grab location.
