I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but having the players pick racial features or roll for them randomly seems a silly and is probably more trouble than it's worth. If you want to use different races find them on the net or in books or make them yourself. It will be more coherent that way, methinks.

The idea of a roleplaying game with random racial traits is intriguing, though... Didn't the Palladium (bleck) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game have something like that?

THe TMNT game was really good and did have random systems for all sorts of things. Made the game really fun and unpredictible, but that was okay as it was not really all that serious.

Ether the races having the racial features already listed, your standard race in any RPG or have a list of racial featsures to choose from like muntant rules from Gamma World, Omgea World (poly mag) orr Darwins World.

Didn't 2e's Skills&Powers do something like this? You had points to get racial abilities. IIRC, the most important stuff was fixed, though.

you need to ellaborate alittle bit more? what are you asking about? what system are you looking at (d20 or something else)? more info is good info.
