His skin tone is a light and his face is angular. He has the sleek, toned body of a fencer. His lithe movements are a testament to his skill and to his highly trained leg muscles. Confident but quiet, Amir hides his true ferocity of spirit and only unleashes it on those minions of the shadow who are unlucky enough to cross his path.</p><p></p><p></p><p><strong> Character History :</strong> Amir was born in Beirut, Lebanon in the summer of 1977. His father was a British diplomat and his mother a language professor and a Lebanese national. Soon after Amir's birth, the Osbournes left Beirut for France. After a few years stationed in Paris, Amir's father was promoted and the family moved once again, this time to Washington, DC in the States. </p><p></p><p>It was there, as an impressionable high school student, that Amir was first introduced to the Shadow. A homeless man who simply went by the name Rudy befriended young Amir. Rudy proved to be a powerful Occultist who pulled back the curtain from the "real" world and showed Amir how the "unreal" lived right beside them all the time, unseen and virtually unchecked. Slowly, Rudy took Amir under his wing and with the help of a loose network of other heroes, began training the boy to fight the Shadow. Having already learned the finer points of ancient swordplay, Amir had no trouble securing a position on the fencing team when he eventually enrolled at American University.</p><p></p><p>After sustaining an injury during the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Amir officially retired from competitive fencing. After graduating from American University in 1999, Amir was hired as the assistant coach of the fencing team at the University of Southampton, finally becoming the head coach two years later after the former coach retired. </p><p></p><p>Amir has found Southampton to be a hotbed of activity for the Shadow. It is good, then, that he is finally coming into his own as a Slayer, for the world needs him now more than ever.</p></blockquote><p></p>
