Message: <blockquote data-quote="Dark Eternal" data-source="post: 820619" data-attributes="member: 7932">Over the course of my D&D career, I have (literally) had hundreds of character ideas that I've never gotten to play.  Every one of them that I can remember later gets a cameo role as an 'extra' for a scene in some game down the road that I run.  Well, almost every one.  There are a few exceptions - the characters that I really want to play.  Here's a few of them-Cortando des Sirrata - A human fighter from a highborn and eccentric family, he stands out amongst the wash of male human fi 1's by having a different take on conflict.  He was raised with strange ideas of honor, and believes that no true warrior will wear armor, use a shield, strike a foe down from a distance, or in any way deal with magic - as all of these actions are, at heart, cowardly.  He doesn't expect others to live by his code, but he does feel some inner contempt for those who don't choose to abide by his standards.  If I were lucky, this character would survive to reach fourth level.  Probably not any further than that... but he'd be a lot of fun while it lasted.Vithiissi - A female sorcerer born from the unlikely union of a goodly dragon and a halfling.  Vithiissi is unable to control her magic in any way, unleashing spells as an instinctive response to danger rather than by any consious effort.  She's very quiet and unsure of herself, and tends to latch on to charismatic people and try to imitate them, rather than manifesting any real individual personality.Duurget - The least likely and most doomed of my Tragic Trio, Duurget the Half-Orc wizard is the victim of a mystically-induced delusion that he is destined to be a powerful mage.  As a wizard with an Intellegence score of 10, the odds are stacked very heavily against him.  But now that he's learned to cast 0th level spells, nothing and no one will ever convince him that he has no aptitude for magic.  As far as he's concerned, it's just going to take him a little more effort than most.  Why, o WHY won't anybody let me play these characters?!!  </blockquote>
