For me that's largely because I've banned most of the d20 OGL material (Mongoose being a big target) because I find in general it isn't as well balanced as the WoTC stuff. There are also more & better resources for the WoTC material in the event I have questions on a board, and I can keep up with it very easily. I have the entire collection, and I pre-order each months new releases. I swear they must have a corner for people like me, where they just stack the few hundred (thousand?) pre-orders they KNOW they'll get. The Sword & Sorcery material I allow in general without a lot of hesitation, especially since much of the Ravenloft material by S&S & Arthaus is underpowered compared to some other PrCs, and there are things here and there I've outlawed (Radiant Servant of Pelor, I'm lookin' at you, you unbalanced bastard). Monte Cook's stuff (Hallowed Might, Complete Eldritch Might) edges more often towards balance than unbalance IMHO, but I allow it in general. For classes, though, there are so many now (with the original 10 core classes, plus the restructured material from the Complete books, plus any of over 100 PrCs) that I never felt a need to break outside of that. I'm also fortunate that I have a bunch of players who are willing to abide by RAW without a lot of debate, which makes things that much easier. I've never actually played more than three or four full sessions in my life; I'm a thoroughbred DM, cut from the whole cloth. Enjoy it; the loyal player base that makes running possible, and the looks on their faces when you hook them, are the two most priceless things you can have when you're sitting in that chair. LCpt.
