Charitable Orgs Here's a thought... Better World Roleplaying needs funding for its scholarship and grant programs. The scholarship will be for educators who are seeking higher education and who have used roleplaying games in the classrom as a teaching tool and who also plan to do so in the future. My thought is that some of these people will be the administrators and policy makers of the future and by helping them get their education perhaps they will increase support for RPG in education. The grant program will be geared toward distributing roleplaying game materials to underfunded after school programs/comunity centers/families etc.... (When they are available these grants will either be in the form of money or BWRs educational RPGs. Until then we will use standard RPGs). Better World Roleplaying, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and we are finally in a position to start accepting public financial support. So, it would be great if the powers that be would be willing to consider choosing BWR as the charity of choice. I am willing to guarantee that all of the donations that come to us through the setting search would go directly into the scholarship and grant programs. And as always, our financial records are open to the public for inspection without question. FYI, The Game Loft is another nonprofit roleplaying-oriented organization. If anyone knows of any other RPG-related charities please speak up. I would like to see roleplayers supporting roleplayers even if it isn't through BWR. Maggie
