Looking at the maths Circle Kick starts mediocre and quickly becomes obsolete 4th level Monk One attack at +3 Flurry at +1/+1 Circle kick at +3 plus (chance to hit) probability of a second attack at +3 Now usually Flurry is better. Plugging in some numbers: 14 Str, AC 15 Goblin, Weapon focus (unarmed) Flurry gives 50% + 50% CK gives 60% + (60%)60% Flurry averages 100%, Circle Kick 96% There are some numbers where Circle Kick is better - if you need an 18 on the dice to hit then it's better So here are the numbers for 4th and 5th level monks with this feat: needs 20 - use flurry needs 16,17,18,19 - use CK needs 15 or less - use flurry Once the Monk gains iterative attack flurry is better by far. You're getting 3 attacks instead of one, two if you're lucky. CK still wins at precisely 18 required to hit until 10th level when Flurry is always better I don't see the point about Circle Kick combining with Improved Trip or any other feat. You need to hit and you are usually more likely to hit with Flurry than with Circle Kick To be blunt this is a badly designed feat, a bit of a howler in a book that includes tables later on about when to use flurry according to the percentages The only use for it is on the NPC 4th or 5th level monks the GM wants to send against well-armoured PCs
