Waterfalls gently fall from the highest plateau, only to freeze into crystalline beauty come wintertime.</p><p></p><p>The city was originally created as a seat of rulership for her and her three children and their influence on the city is always apparent. From the broken fountains commemorating Edric’s Hydra to Edraine’s Square Celebrating the founding of the Green Knights and Edval’s block of pubs, instrument makers and artisans the draconic influence is still found.</p><p></p><p>The three ruling families of Ladymist remain the descendants of the Horned Lady’s children and are said to take after certain parts of Dragon habits and culture. Edval, a fine troubador and a formidable politician, founded the Dracvurt family. Edraine, a formidable warrior and founder of the Green Knights founded the Greatwing clan. Edric, a dark and brooding magician founded the Finescale College of Arcanna.</p><p></p><p>Today the three families still rule over Ladymist as Lady Alexia Greatwing took over the city after her uncle was murdered. The newfound rulership of the hatchling Green Lady has made Ladymist an exciting place. Its citizens seem unfazed, as if they were always certain that their Lady would be the center of the world once again. The city isn’t quite the apple in Bahamut’s eye nor does it have the five blessings of Tiamat just yet but like its liege-lady it is a beautiful and verdant, if somewhat dangerous place.</p><p></p><p>Since the Drow have been driven from the Underdark by Aboleth Warlords the Jade Forest has allowed the Empress to reside in blahblah Keep on her far eastern border. One of the concessions the Drow were forced to make in order to reside in the Jade Forest’s borders was keeping their young princess heir, Princess Kayrissa, as a Ward of the Green Lady. Despite continuing efforts and countless adventurers, none have ever found this artifact, nor even evidence of its existence.</p><p></p><p>Deeproot was a cursed city with Ghouls hunting the streets at night and Necromancers’ governing. </p><p></p><p>Now the Nine Trees of Deeproot have begun to grow and Deeproot is suddenly a vibrant place of learning once again with Druids, Swordsmasters and Historians flocking from all over the world. Teachers on topics from Magicks to Battle Lore to History are taught. The city is not only a place of learning but has become a temple, whose religion is growth through the pursuit of knowledge. </p><p></p><p>Deeproot now has a growing Dwarven population from the isolationist Jadebeard Clan and the Wild Elves of the deep forest have come to pay homage to the growing young Godling trees.</p><p></p><p>Despite its positive growth since the Green Lady’s tenure over the Jade Forest there is still a dark shadow over Deeproot. Whether this shadow is the influence of the Lord of Deeproot’s undiscovered dark magicks or the lingering of certain Necromantic agents is unknown. </p><p></p><p>The population of Deeproot has more than doubled in the past year due to its burgeoning theocratic university. The city has new life and energy as the streets are free from the fear of Sunturion rule under the leadership of Duchess Hailey Catsta and her husband, Duke Kellis Catsta.</p><p></p><p>The stumps of the great trees that gave the city its name surround its hills like gods’ tombstones. They were cut down by Hailey’s father, now sentenced to a life of isolation in the Treeless Manor. Despite their noble intentions the bastards became power-hungry and turned to infernal, abyssal and undead powers in order to more easily extract vengeance on the world that had abandoned them.</p><p></p><p>Corwin D’Ulula was a boy who grew up on a farm with many Great Owl roosts. Young Corwin led the first revolts against the Drachnae and it was Corwin’s holy steed, Ulula, who finished the liberation of the city after Corwin had been struck down by a vicious Half-Dragon Vampire in a famously ferocious aerial battle.</p><p></p><p>The owl quickly became a powerful totem and finally, a God in its own right.</p><p></p><p>The Order of Ulula still has a healthy population of Paladins and Priests but the Monks of Ulula have all but vanished in the years of Golden occupation. Even the Paladins and Priests do not have the respect and adoration in the world they once enjoyed in the early days of their creation. There was a time when a wealthy and pious noble family would never think of going without the protection and wisdom of one of the Ululan Orders in their retinue.</p><p></p><p>The Paladins and Clerics of Ulula are still well known for their vigilance against undead and infernal enemies.
