First Post
City of the Spider Queen:

WotC list price: $39.95

Amazon's quoted list price: $29.95

Amazon's price (30% off): $20.97

You do the math. I'm thinking I got a VERY good deal on this and the MMII...it better be good! :D

Urgh...good tip. Luckily I have some time before I'll use either of these books, so it's worth it for the 50% discount.

Those who want them soon: beware.

If any of my players are reading this thread
Please do not read any threads w/spoilers about this module. Thanks! You won't regret it.

Wait... I just realized. Beware? I order all of my WotC books through Amazon, and I get them maybe a week later, two at the most. It might take another week because of "Super Saver Shipping" but damn, twenty bucks is twenty bucks that can be used for another book, y'know?

Oh, I completely agree.

I just meant "beware," as in, watch out if you like instant gratification. It may or may not take longer.

I've never been anything but satisfied with Amazon's service.

From Buy.com:

30992165 City of the Spider Queen
Expected release date: 9/1/2002 1 $18.86 On Order
30940587 Monster Manual II
Expected release date: 9/1/2002 1 $18.86 On Order

I will probably have to wait longer than an Amazon order, but hey, price was pretty good!

I dunno... $40.00 for a 200 page paperback? Something's not quite right. I think WotC made an error, and Amazon's list price is the correct one (but $10 off is still a good deal  ). At least I hope they made an error. I know FR books tend to be on the steep side, but damn!

Sorry, but I'm looking at the back cover of the book, and it says $29.95 US. I don't where the $39.95 is coming from. So you still got a good deal (30% off), not a fantastic deal (50% off).

30% off is good enough for me, but $39.95 is straight off the Wizards website. See for yourself here.
